shop: sawhorses

These sawhorses are from ShopNotes #17.  They are adjustable, lightweight (relatively) and sturdy.  They also knock down for easy storage and are made from inexpensive constuction lumber (2x6s and 1x4s).  I finished them in 2003...and still really like them.  They are pretty stable without the legs - I frequently use them this way as outfeed supports for the table saw.



As you can see above, they adjust to a wide range of sizes - from workbench height to drillpress height.



They knock-down for easy storage - the feet fit inside the shelf in the middle. When stacked as shown below, they take up only 6"x28" of floor space.
